What do you title a blog you don't intend to go anywhere? So, if you're really interested, this is just a hodge podge of stuff from the past couple days.

First, I am going to leave because I am craving coffee and since I have been eating raw (for the most part...I took the day off yesterday), I don't have half-n-half, in fact I have nothing in my fridge that can't be planted...ok, that's an exaggeration, but not much of one. Anyway, must jog to Walgreens for some half-n-half. Oh man, I need to change out of my pj's first...hmmm, if I drive I can just put my trench coat on...yeah. Ok, so I am going to drive 1/2 block to Walgreens. :D
Ok, coffee is brewing...ahhh the sweet smell of Boca Java's Courtside Chocolate...mmm.
(__)> yum, just what the doctor ordered (well ordered me not to drink anyway).

Ok, yesterday: What a cool day. I got to meet some blog sisters for lunch. Oh, they are such wonderful people. I, of course, am painfully shy so I felt a bit akward and out of place, but they are such lovely & friendly people the akwardness didn't last long. Joanne was the hostess, and did such an awesome job with everything...the gathering was absolutely charming. Let's see, Holly was there (which I am so grateful for 'cause she was the only real live person I knew), and the other ladies, Meridith, Angie, Kimberly, and Kari (although I had frequented most of their blogs) I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time. They all had camera's, but I was in such a hurry to finish my paper and get over there that I forgot to grab the camera; however, I have the best picture of all.

Oh yeah, eat your heart out is highly overrated when it comes to the artistic visual mastery from the heart of a child. BUT...if you must see a pic of us all, I believe just about everyone in the group posted the actual gathering picture...just click on their name. :)

Today: You and stuff. But tonight, I put on some Elijah Streams internet radio (prophetic worship), and didn't cook love it. I had soft taco w/fresh tomato salsa...I think I over did it with the spices in the salsa though 'cause my chest was burning, but it was awesome. The shell was a collard green leaf, and the filling was made with walnuts, cumin, coriander, & Nama Shoyu (aka health freak soy sauce), and of course the salsa (tomato, cilantro, onion, fresh lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cayenne, cumin, & coriander).

My studies: I thought I would introduce you to my homework helpers. This is Chloe in action:

Of course she has to perch herself on top of the pillows I have used as a lap table and contemplates her next naughty move.

Drawing her claws and moving in for the kill.

She's a stinker, but ahhhluvher!

My Simon isn't so aggressive...he just sits between my feet while I work on the 'puter.

There ya have it...a day in the life of Kate and her kitties.

Hi cute that you posted Abbey's placecard. She'll be so proud when she sees that!

I enjoyed meeting you...and you made me laugh so hard just watching your face during the childbirth story. S-c-a-r-y!

Hey, is that a photo of you with blond hair in the post below this one?

Ohhhh ... love your kitties!! We have helpers too! Hobbes, Gabriel and Lucy. A fourth resides at our tennis shop, about a block away from the house. We call her Peeps. They're great helps, but what's up with their attraction to paper? They're like magnets! ;-)

I'm jealous that you were able to hang out with such lovely ladies!! Must have been nice to meet everyone. I can't at all imagine you being shy ... never would have guessed!

Taco sounds good too! A friend of mine and I are trying to completely quit anything with refined sugar. Instead, we're using natural sweetners. So far, I love Blue Agave Nectar, and have been enjoying it along with some half-&-half in my coffee. I'm about to try some baking recipes with liquid Stevia too. Will let you know how they turn out!

Love to you!

Oh yeah, kids art is the best!!! Two years ago Steve wanted a movie for his b-day and it didn't come out on DVD until the day AFTER his b-day so I had Hattie (who was just over 1 at the time) water color a masterpiece for her Daddy. We wrote a message on it and it was lovely. He loved it so much he framed it and to this day it sits on his nightstand (next to the first card I ever gave him in which I poured my heart out and told him I loved him!!!) So SWEET!!! That man LOVES hig girlies!!!!!
Your kitties are so sweet too and I am totally jealous of ya getting to meet bloggy buddies!!!

Hi Kate,

Just have to say thank you again for the gorgeous flowers. I feel totally blessed and pampered!

So fun to see pictures of your everyday life. And now I wish Joey the cat would've been braver so you could've met him. Like your cats, he loves to be in my lap while I'm trying to read, write, type on the computer. He loves to snuggle when I'm busy.

Can't wait to get together again soon!

Wasn't lunch fun?! You probably read in my blog that I was nervous because I can be shy too, but as soon as I met everyone, I felt like I was among old friends! In fact, I can't wait to do it again and get to know you better.

Cute kitties! :)
